Subject
Request for ingredient list

Dear Mr. Garcia,
I am a food buyer at Tokyo-based ABC Foods, and I am interested in importing your line of canned pasta sauces that you had on display at the Food & Beverage Trade Show last week.

In order to ensure that they conform to the Japanese laws and regulations, would you kindly send the complete list of ingredients and additives for each product?

The ingredients and additives used must be listed in decreasing order from highest to lowest content. Also, please make sure that no ingredient or additive is omitted from the list as there is a possibility that it may be a restricted item specified in the Japanese law.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

解説

I am a food buyer at Tokyo-based ABC Foods, and I am interested in importing your line of canned pasta sauces that you had on display at the Food & Beverage Trade Show last week.
Would you be interested in...?
In order to ensure that they conform to the Japanese laws and regulations, would you kindly send the complete list of ingredients and additives for each product?
ensure that... conform to...は「~に従う」「~に適合する」という意味で、ビジネスシーンにおいてはcriteria(基準)、standard(規格)、terms(条件)、code(条例)、restriction(規制)などと共に使われることの多い表現です。「~に従う」「~を順守する」という意味の似た表現にはadhere to...、comply with...、follow...、よりくだけた言い回しではstick to...
The ingredients and additives used must be listed in decreasing order from highest to lowest content.
decreasing orderはdescending orderと同様に「降順」を指し、in decreasing order from highest to lowest contentは「最も含有量が多いものから最も低いものの順に」という意味になります。in...orderという言い回しは「~の順に」という意味で、よく使われるものには、ほかにもascending order(昇順)、alphabetical order(アルファベット順)、chronological order(時系列)、numerical order(番号順)、random/arbitrary order(順不同)、reverse order(逆順)などの表現があります。
Also, please make sure that no ingredient or additive is omitted from the list as there is a possibility that it may be a restricted item specified in the Japanese law.
リストに関連する表現には、ほかにもput...on the list(~をリストに載せる)、include...in the list(~をリストに含める)、make the list([リストやランキングに]載る)、check...off the list(リスト上の~の項目に完了のチェックマークを付ける)、to-do list(やることリスト)、high/low on one’s list(~にとって優先順位が高い/低い)、at the top/bottom of the list(最も順位が高い/低い)などがあります。
