TOEIC Bridge® Speaking & Writing Tests
Frequently Asked Questions
The TOEIC Bridge Speaking & Writing Tests measure two English-language skills, Speaking and Writing, for beginners to lower-intermediate English language learners in daliy life.
The two tests are the TOEIC Bridge Speaking Test (8 questions, approx. 15 minutes) and the TOEIC Bridge Writing Test (9 questions, approx. 37 minutes), and they can be taken together as a set.
At the test center you will wear a headset and speak into a microphone connected to a computer, as well as use a keyboard to enter your answers.
The test results will be assessed as a score between 30 and 100, based on two scores each for TOEIC Bridge Speaking Test and TOEIC Bridge Writing Test between 15 and 50 in 1-point increments.
The TOEIC Bridge Listening & Reading Tests is held separately. The application, administration method, and test schedules are all different, and the test results are issued separately.
We recommend that beginning learners of English take the TOEIC Bridge Speaking & Writing Tests. The test can be used as the first step in getting to your next stage of English learning, to check your current Speaking & Writing English skills, or as motivation for learning.
If you have more experience with English language learning, or have spent a long time in an English-speaking country, or are already aiming to take the TOEIC Speaking & Writing Tests in Secure Program, we recommend taking the TOEIC Speaking & Writing Tests in Secure Program.
You cannot take the test twice in the same day.
Test Sites/Test Centers
With the TOEIC Bridge Speaking & Writing Tests in Secure Program, you can choose your test center when you apply.(*)
Test centers will be shown on the application screen once application has started.
You cannot take the tests from your home computer.
There are only a limited number of seats available, so you may not be able to take the test where you want.
The TOEIC Bridge Speaking & Writing Tests in Secure Program do not use admission tickets.

You can check the test date/time and center you applied for in the “受験案内 (Test Information e-mail)” you received after application or on the Application History (Details) page of the TOEIC Application Site.
You cannot use any watches in the testing room.
Set all your devices so that they will not sound alarms or ring, turn them off, and keep them in your bag.
The test will start in order of your arrival at the test center. You will not all start together.
You cannot leave the room during the test.
You can change your applied address by logging into the TOEIC Application Site within 10 days of the test date.

The Certificate can be reissued up to 2 years after the test date. Please contact the IIBC Test Operation Center for details. Score validity does not expire.
Some groups or institutions may have their own deadline. Please check ahead of time.
