The test information email was sent to the test takers of the 252nd TOEIC L&R Test on Monday, August 31. However, there was wrong information in the email we sent. No personal information was leaked.
We sent the email with the correct test information on September 1 at 9:00 a.m.
*All the information you need for taking the test can be found under the heading of "Test Information" at the TOEIC Application Site as well.

The application for the 253rd TOEIC L&R Test started from 12:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 5. However, we have suspended the application due to the system malfunction caused by website traffic overload. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
In response to the situation, we have decided to change the application method. Test takers will be selected at random from all applicants. Everyone will have the same chance of being selected through the new method, regardless of when they apply during the application period.

In response to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, and considering the safety of test takers and test proctors, we have decided to place limits on the number of applicants, and take precautionary measures against the spread of coronavirus infection on the day of the test, for the 252nd TOEIC L&R Test (September 13, 2020) and the 253rd TOEIC L&R Test (October 4, 2020). Please make sure to check the details on this page.
※Depending on the situation, the test may be cancelled at all or part of the test sites. In case we decide to cancel the test, we will post the information on our website.

Placing Limits on the Number of Applicants / Changing the Application Period

In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and in reaction to the current situation on the availability of test centers, we are going to place limits on the number of applicants for the test, and change the application period. The capacity of applicants may differ depending on each test site, and the application will be accepted in order they are received and cease accepting applications once the limit is reached.
As all test centers will be operating at limited capacity, the application is expected to be closed earlier than usual. We recommend to apply for the test early.

Application Period for the 252nd TOEIC L&R Test (September 13, 2020): Wednesday, July 8 at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, July 21 at 3:00 p.m.>
*The application will be closed before Tuesday, July 21st, if the number of application has reached the limit before the deadline.

Precautionary Measures against the Coronavirus

At our test centers, we are following “Precautionary Measures at Test Centers” below. Please make sure you understand and agree with our “Health and Safety Requirements at Test Centers” before you apply for the test. You may not be allowed to take the test if you refuse to cooperate in the requirements. Please refrain from applying for the test if you feel uncomfortable about the precautionary measures.

Precautionary Measures at Test Centers

  • Test proctors will take their temperature on the test day to check that they do not have any health problem for the test administration.
  • Test proctors will wear a face mask, and practice proper hand washing and hand sanitization.
  • Hand sanitizers will be available at the test centers.
  • Test facilities will be disinfected, especially in places touched by people.
  • Test proctors will remind test takers to keep enough distance with others.
  • The test will be administered at limited capacity than usual in order to keep enough distance between test takers.
  • Test rooms will be ventilated by opening the doors and windows, or using ventilation fans.
  • Test proctors will limit conversation or verbal explanation to a minimum.

Health and Safety Requirements at Test Centers

*A part of "Health and Safety Requirements at Test Centers" contents has been changed on July 29, 2020.

  • Please check your temperature before arrival, and refrain from taking the test if you have a fever.
  • Wear your own face mask while you are at the test center. Test takers without a face mask will not be allowed to take the test.
    You will be asked to take off the mask at a reception desk for personal identification.
  • Practice proper hand washing, hand sanitization, and coughing etiquette are highly recommended.
  • Keep a certain distance from other people.
  • Limit conversation to a minimum.
  • Please refrain from eating in the test center.
  • Please contact us if, you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have had close contact with someone who has confirmed COVID-19 within the fourteen days from the test date.

During the reading test, we will ventilate the test room by opening the doors and windows, or using ventilation fans. Please note that you may hear some noise. You are advised to bring clothes so you can put on or take off depending on the room temperature.

Please refrain from taking the tests if;

  • You are feeling unwell.
  • You are worried about some symptoms you are experiencing (fever, cough, sore throat etc.)
    *Some test centers may require test takers to provide a temperature check upon arrival, and you may not be allowed to take the test if you have a fever.
  • You have had close contact with someone who has confirmed COVID-19 within the last fourteen days, or live with someone who has suspected symptoms.
  • You have visited entry restricted countries in the last fourteen days, or have had close contact with someone who has visited those countries in the last fourteen days.

If you are unable to take the tests due to the reasons listed above, the test fee will be refunded.

The 251st TOEIC® Listening & Reading Test (June 28, 2020)
The 250th TOEIC® Listening & Reading Test (May 24, 2020)

The Japanese government declared a state of emergency over the coronavirus outbreak. In order to protect the health and safety of test takers, we decided to cancel the 250th TOEIC L&R Test (May 24, 2020) and the 251st TOEIC L&R Test (June 28, 2020). The test fee will be refunded. Refund procedures, how and when, may differ depending on the test fee payment method.
*If you applied for the test using a voucher code, the amount of test fee for the test which you originally applied for, will be refunded.
*If you applied for the test as a group, please inquire directly with your group representative.

<Payment by credit card>
Refund will be made through the credit card company. The length of time it takes to refund may vary depending on the timing of refund processing of the credit card company, and could take two to three months. In addition, there may be situations where payment of the test fee is cancelled or where refund is made after the entire amount is once deducted. For details, please check your credit card statement.

Refund will be made through “CASH POST”. You can receive the refund into the account you designate or from LAWSON (convenience store). We will send email or mail with the information about the refund process to the test takers as soon as it is ready.

 

The 249th TOEIC® Listening & Reading Test (April 12, 2020)

Based on the outbreak situation of the coronavirus, we decided to cancel the 249th TOEIC L&R Test (April 12, 2020). We issued voucher codes via e-mail or mail on April 30. The voucher can be used for the application of the TOEIC L&R Tests scheduled to be held between September 2020 and September 2021. If you would like a refund, please submit the “Refund Request Form” below by April 13,10:00 am.

The 248th TOEIC® Listening & Reading Test (March 8, 2020)

Based on the outbreak situation of the coronavirus, we decided to cancel the 248th TOEIC L&R Test (March 8, 2020). We issued voucher codes via e-mail or mail on February 28. The voucher can be used for the application of the TOEIC L&R Tests scheduled to be held between May 2020 and April 2021. However, in response to the social situation around the coronavirus outbreak, we will issue a refund of the test fee as requested. If you would like the refund, please submit the “Refund Request Form” below by April 13,10:00 am.
* If you applied for the test as a group, please inquire directly with your group representative.

You can request for the refund even if you have completed the 250th TOEIC L&R Test (May 24, 2020) application using the voucher code.
*If you request for the refund, you will not be able to use the voucher code, and the 250th TOEIC L&R Test application using the voucher code will be canceled.
*The revised test fee (6,490) will be charged for the application of the TOEIC L&R Tests to be held after April 2020.

*The refund request has been closed.

Certificate of the Application

For job application or school admission, you can obtain a “Certificate of the Application” of the cancelled tests.
・For those who have applied through online (including group application)
  You can download your Certificate of the Application on our website.
・For those who have applied using the multimedia kiosk
  The 248th and the 249th TOEIC L&R Test : Certificate of the Application was sent to your registered address on March 30.
  The 250th TOEIC L&R Test : Certificate of the Application was sent to your registered address on April 20.

⇒Click "申込履歴" under "TOEIC Listening & Reading Test".
⇒Click "確認" of the test which you would like a Certificate of the Application to be downloaded.
⇒Click "申込証明書を発行する" in the "申込証明書" column.
* The Certificate of the Application will be displayed as a PDF file.
* There is no limit to the number of Certificate of the Application that you can download.
